friday wrap up

Blog of the week goes to Plenty of Colour. I walked into a cafe the other day and felt an overwhelming desire to get out my Pantone colour chart and let loose on the place. I have been such a lover of sparse white industrial interiors for a long time but I think Melbourne needs a space that embraces COLOUR. This blog proves that colour isn't scary - it can be effective and it can be mature without being overwhelming.

I had 99 cent Pho at Ferdydurke on Monday for lunch. 99 cents, as in, less than $1. A great way to start the week after overspending on the weekend, I think this is going to become a Monday staple. The 'extra bits' came in a paper bag which was a cute idea. The sun was shining. A happy Monday.

I had dinner at Claremont Tonic in South Yarra during the week. The food was amazing, sort of reminded me of Chin Chin... but different. All the cool kids were there. Loved the cement bricks and industrial touches throughout the interior. The water bottles were fun - they looked like your average plastic 2L bottle but were actually glass, trippy!

It is finally time to say goodbye to my bomb. It lasted 13 days, not bad for your average Carnation! My next project is going to be a Baby's Breath bomb, stay tuned.

Cue the applause, it's almost the weekend.
